Night Fishing Crappie, Hundreds Circle My Boat

Round-the-clock fishing for crappie on a Lake somewhere in Wisconsin. Hundreds and maybe thousands of crappie group my boat while night fishing with lights ...

After a crappie bites a hook how long do you think it is before it will bite again?

My shortlisted for completely stopping the boat with the biggest crappie I have ever seen, and it is now my Moby Dick. The hunt begins.

It is encouraged that away for some time, perhaps the rest of the day, perhaps forever ... but he will again feed very quickly. I had the same thing to pass me and caught the same fish, next to the strain even 15 min. later. I think it's the same, they tend to hang out with similar-sized brothers and sisters.

Information on techniques for catching Crappie?

Oct 30, 2008 by Kboy Categorized Under: Fishing

I don't have a boat, I have to fish from the shoreline. I would like to try fishing for some Crappie this slope. Can anyone out there give me some helpful information on how to fish for this type of fish from the shoreline? Like what should the water temp. be for choicest results for fall fishing, types of bait to use, how to rig up the line, techniques to use once bait is in the water, etc, etc. In consequence of you very much for any help you could provide.

Fishing from shore isn't a persnickety handicap with crappie.

I would rig with a long rod (10-16 feet) or even a cane pole. Use line no more than 6 pound test, and lighter is sick.

The most common rig is to suspend a live minnow or other bait under a bobber. But you can use artificials as well. Mini-jigs, hung below a bobber like persist bait, can be surprisingly effective. But other baits work well too, such as in-line spinners, twisty tail grubs, and even vibrating baits.

i fish for crappies.. first factor is go buy a ultra lite pole
get a small hook, or jig tube tip it with a wax worm and minnow
with the small steal you can put a minnow on it with a small float
or just a wax worm now when you see your float go under
don't jerk the pole as their lips are journal thin, just start
reeling your line in, i caught one and set the hook
and i lost a good size crappie... the copiously temp should be 60-65
right now is the best time to go since we had cool nights and warm days

temps around 70 not higher tom
