It works great for the first run around the lake, but once it warms up, all of a Suddon when I'll give it a little gas at about 3500 rpm it falls flat, it will idol tickety-boo as nothing is bad, but if i give it gas it bogs, anyone?

I am looking at buying a 1985 Stinger Bass Boat w/ 85 Javelin motor. Everything is rumour has it in good condition and running, but I can't seem to find any information on Stinger Boats. Does anyone know where I might look to check the bounty and quality of a Stinger boat.
