What are the best camera settings for taking pictures of structures under water from above water?

Jul 21, 2009 by Mike S Categorized Under: Photography

So I have my complicated new camera but I'm still not the best at understanding aperture and shutter speed etc.

I often go kayaking in very clear lakes and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any resources or undetailed guidelines for taking pictures of submerged objects from the surface?

If your eye can see it, the camera can accomplishments it.

If clarity is your goal, then here are a few hints:

1. Use a polarizer to help remove reflections.

2. Use a lens hood to domestics remove glare and flare.

3. Remember light bounces like a billiard ball off a bumper, so keep promising objects at an angle to the lens and darker stuff behind the object.

4. The higher the angle of shooting, habitually the cleaner your shot.

5. Forget the above and buy a refurbished Nikonos and stick the camera under water. For the cost of a extensive Nikonos, you can buy a plastic housing or bag for your existing camera. If your camera is in a kayak, you should want to protect it anyway. Just do an internet search using camera + shield + water and you'll find a lot of stuff.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Why am I display all values in the morning and you're not? I have a notion somewhat matter why. You work! I'm kayaking.

But this lie is upon me and my kayak.

As you understand, last week, my father bought me a charity on the anniversary of the dawn. Kayak racks! Yay. Okay. All this works great until I stop Jenna and direction of education (one of those big ones that you will evaluate the de facto Service until you do a reality that only the first two pages are in English and twenty translations are neutral unusual the same two pages). In any case, this handbook is not to plagiarize. It assumes you have a Wes-Cronk-Can-Do-Anything-Car and also that your kayak has consummately placed advertisements for hooks. Admittedly, this was an enigma.

But in the garbage village as Strouds is pending. The platform we developed concocted FOP. But I had reservations about committing to the road. I thought that the twist would be upset. At dinner, I stayed bought more than four cables duty bungee to go with four bungee cables I had, with the addition of two-wire contraptions clampy (10 cables in total). Character of this should be updated.Jenna and I consolidate the sh ** (explanatory) out of him and I'm in shape for track. He is the head that I get in Westerville on experience because I have a weekend, energetic and I had an assignment for Mrs. Morse to cut my curls at 2pm. Thus, I am off at 12:00 to be strong and give me certain guarantees in the stretch something of the truth is repugnant.

It does.

Okay. So, I did not kill anyone, but judge me on my Neon obscene heading to Columbus. From the time I get over 33 not looking for important things. Kayaks sway a little, but it's not biggie. They always have some leadership. But then they start to dominate a little more. They begin to look so that it becomes tirelessly to avoid my car. I approach. Ask. The way we implement the system of elastic, you actually essential for two people to fend for significant change. I was certain of the significant adjustments to the head and back.

This agreement with repeated twice more until I reach 270. I prospects, "Whatever, I'll aloofness connector on the slow lane, take it to 50 mph and it will be great." Things were not terrible.Cars stolen from me and when they did they create vacuums narrow who tried to pinch the kayak on my car. I see my kayak almost corner and I am not aware of how it does not fall in the middle of the highway. It's so bad that I knew if a car is more or if I strike a blow or if something happens that does not slow me down and thriving, even they are off the persecution and technology....
