What is a good Kayak for camping with?

Im looking for a kayak that is a matter that can accommodate camping supplies for several days. Essentially the weekend camping trips. But the thing is that I have a small car so I was hoping to find one that was about 10 feet. 12ft will be fine too I think.

Do you also sit on a wet-on-top kayak as you do it in a sit-in? I have to go to northern Michigan in the fall, so that water will be cold.

Sit-on-top kayaks are for tropical waters, not northern Michigan, which is totally NOT what you want. They do not have the storage you need for camping gear.

With a sit-inside kayak you wear a skirt that goes around your waist under your jacket spirit (PFD) attaching an elastic band around the rim of the cockpit to keep the water out and the lower body and gear to stay warm and dry. It's warmer here in Kaliforia therefore sit on top permeates the entire year. I live to fish with this platform you can really load them with great speed. It was the most stable of all those I have tried so far.
Not being savvy kayaker I would not be one of those sitting inside as I fear driving more and getting stuck inside.

Labor Day has been an asset on the coast of Maine, and Saturday morning, I chock-a-block and some provisions liberally, excess clothing, sleeping bags and mats, my Minutes and some supplies of art and support in my kayak.
