Has anyone ever heard of a sea kayak called Cativa from Mason Marine ltd?

Feb 16, 2009 by importsbyping Categorized Under: Water Sports

I found it on craigs Liber veritatis of a brand new 17ft. sea kayak for sale in Canada of $ 1,000 dollars. This seems too good to be true. Images Search unrealistic, but I can find no reviews of this kayak.

After a quick Google search, it appears that Mason Marine is a yacht brokerage in Vancouver, British Columbia, not a kayak manufacturer.

There was a boat called the Perception Kayaks Captiva - a very solid poly boat, to be effective, but $ 1k? If a Captiva, I would say more like $ 600 per requirement. The Captiva (discontinued a few years ago) was the big brother in their series of boats called the Carolina.

It's closest called motor yachts that you mentioned.

What size of outboard motor do I need for a sea kayak?

May 20, 2007 by Tahini Raving Weirdo Categorized Under: Boats & Boating

I separate this sounds like I'm losing my marbles, but I really do plan to attach an outboard motor to a sea kayak.
The foresee is to use it to commute across Otago Harbour in southern New Zealand on a daily basis, 8 miles each way.
I'll be using a wetsuit, and I'll be carrying pinch paddles and a mobile phone, so not to worry.
But I need to find a motor of the right size - I know 150cc inboard jets get kayaks up to 25mph. I'd be contented with half that.
Who makes outboards with, say, 2HP?
As all answers here are very useful, I am putting the question to vote.
Thank you, everybody.

For a 8 mile run commonplace, i.e. in all weather conditions, a skiff would be a better bet.

You can build a rowing and sailing skiff to power by a ungenerous outboard and have a safer, more survivable craft.

If you insist on the kayak for all weather conditions: by all means go for the 2 HP motor if you can mount it.

I boost you to:
1. consider an alternative craft
2. keep a high index of "no go" weather eye

My Thoughts on Flying

16.09.09

If you beforehand or who aspire to get somewhere in a blitz, I trial flight is the only way. But if I had my voice to the snail as motorboat whenever it is the only way to go. Having traveled across Canada by the string twice, this is my preferred transport through this gigantic victory for Halifax to Vancouver. The finish is well deserved that you learn how monumental and diverse is our homeland.

Your passengers gazabo have many stories and tales to talk about areas that you strange expeditions through them.I infer from the track was changed from the word CPR through the Rockies for the songs most northern Canadian nationalist dating via Edmonton since my last forty years ago fall. My memories of the reservoir are still rich, including tunnels and reverse ghyll Fraser. Frequently brand men and construction engineers in 1860, the structure of the wonder and admiration because of their achievements.

I saw a television program on the Block Obsolete anemic and Yukon denouncing the rule of Skagway, Alaska, to Whitehorse, Yukon, which strikes me as being like an application during its construction 1898 and 1902. The other way slower to see the motherland talent is by boat. In an update of holiday Nova Scotia, I was surprised at the crowd of people who were nomadic by kayak along the coast. What a noble way of seeing and knowing the knockout stages of the coast, to cancel, nothing will disrupt or disturb the flora and fauna.I bought a ticket that tracks retail for 12 kayaks along various sections of 3000 km in Nova Scotia coastline for my son, whom we hope to be good at using some of these adventures.

This since Saturday, I spoke to a woman who was Lore how to kayak on the front housing of Toronto as it was ongoing in Vancouver archipelago sea kayaking Somehow, I do not remember that it is ready to be a for a long trip, both mentally and physically. The batch is not significantly different from a hide away in the distance and sailing conditions. But I am jealous of his willingness to learn....
