How do I land a job in the mega-yacht industry?

I served 4 years on a ship Guard Strand and I am about to finish university. I want to get back on the water preferably aboard a mega yacht. I have 3.5 years sailing / operations experience and I would like to start as a 3rd maybe even a friend 1st. Is this possible?

How to excel in finding a job is great talking and making friends, where mega yachts. You can go to a site like: http://www.maritimejobs.com/
but from what I have seen the most skilled jobs are found through networking, I know of a yacht which had three captains on board, all lived with in 15 miles of each other in a rural areas where no square near the headquarters of the ship. They all had the job because it knew that one and they looked for work on many large vessels.

What skills could you extend for me to employ you for a six months cruise of the carribean islands working on a mega yatch serious answers only please

I can't go my job for 6 months, however, my Son who is nearly 20 is moving back to live with me as he has been working in Scotland and the job finishes next week. He is very hardworking, was offered a job working on the ferry from John O Groats to Isle of somewhere, collecting spondulix, tickets and mooring. However, was a 90 mile journey from where he lives and just not feasible to travel that far on scottish lanes twice a day. He is not sorry of hard work, has an excellent sense of humour, can cook for himself, cleans up after himself. I wish for once, someone would give him a break in his existence (other than his arm or his leg of which he has broken one of each) Assuming of course that he would get accommodation, food and some free time and not be expected to be a beck and call guy for 6 months. He has a very sensible brain and very mechanical minded having served almost 2 years as an apprentice car mechanic. Arn't all engines the same?
